Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) from the province of La Union, as well as Pangasinan State University from the province of Pangasinan, are among the 42 universities in the Philippines that were granted ‘reporter status’ under the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
The existence of this status indicates that the said institutions are active participants in the ranking processes but still remain unranked this year.
Through the reporter status, universities can be seen in the rankings table even if they have not met the eligibility criteria to be ranked.
Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila University led as the Top University in the country, followed by the University of the Philippines, while four other universities were included in the 1500+ ranking: De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, Mapua University, and Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology.
